The President of Ghana, H.E Nana Addo at the 71st New Year School and Conference on the theme “Attaining Ghana Beyond Aid: Challenges and Prospects.” today revealed that his Ghana Beyond Aid agenda is meant to propel us into the frame of mind that would quicken our pace of development. It is meant to change our mindset from one of dependency to one of achieving our destiny.
Since the agenda was made public, the international community has bought into the idea as Ghana under the leadership of H.E Nana Addo seeks to build a nation that is self-reliant in all spheres to ensure the mentality of the Ghanaian people is tuned toward self-belief, assertive and ambitious nation that harnesses its resources to develop and refocus Ghana into a new realm of success.
At the maiden edition of the Results Fair, work successes of Ghana under the leadership of the President of Ghana, H.E Nana Add were showcased to Ghanaians, international businesses, development partners and other stakeholders.
The Results Fair, was also aimed at providing first-hand information and feedback from beneficiaries about the success or otherwise of goverment programmes. It also provided an avenue to show achievements of Government since the NPP led government assumed the reins of Government three years ago have obtained votes in excess of 1 million to wrestle power from the then NDC government.
Students from some second cycle and tertiary institutions also graced the occasion to be abreast with the great vision and efforts by the current government to propel Ghana into a great self-reliant nation.
