George Floyd: Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa calls for committed efforts towards justice

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa the Member of Parliament for North Tongu, has added his voice to the protest for George Floyd. In a post cited by newsghana24.com, he said our brother George Floyd’s soul should be granted a peaceful eternal rest by the creator ought to feature prominently on our list of prayer topics this solemn Sunday.
The struggle for manifest justice and for racism in all its guises to be vanquished should now enter a higher phase where people with good conscience all over the world regardless of colour or creed must stand up to be counted.

In that expectation, I believe our dear country which made global news last year as the preferred destination for Africans in the diaspora when we marked the Year of Return after building on the gains of PANAFEST shall not be left out.
Very few videos have evinced such excruciating pain and sparked the justifiable outrage that now rages like an inferno. However, let that video move those of us who can still breathe to free folks whose necks are being murderously held down by discrimination, poverty, conflict, nepotism, corruption and bad leadership.
It’s time for very deep soul searching and it’s time to get to work!
