Fulfill your duties with wisdom and integrity –President Mahama to Armed Forces Council

President John Dramani Mahama has made a request to members of the freshly appointed Ghana Armed Forces Council to perform their responsibilities with wisdom, integrity, and an unrelenting passion to national service.
During the swearing-in ceremony on Monday, March 24, President John Dramani Mahama highlighted the important role the Ghana Armed Forces council plays in maintaining the stability Ghana, protecting the interest of the nation. and ensuring that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) will be able to operate at the superior professional competence.
He notified the Ghana Armed Forces council members that their opinions would have significant implications for the country’s defense strategy and the national well-being of the military.
During his speech, President Mahama emphasized that the responsibility of the council to protect and maintain the peace Ghana has enjoyed over the years. He encouraged them to be careful in detecting and addressing emerging security threats.
President John Dramani Mahama stated that this time of transformation with security challenges, the Armed Forces Council must be proactive and strategic in its approach to national defense. “The decision you make as a council will will shape the years to come for our Armed Forces and it is therefore essential that you approach this job with wisdom and integrity and a deep commitment to national service.”
