GES Procures Free WASSCE PASCO for First Batch of Free SHS Students
The Ghana Education Service in an effort to ensure the First Batch of free SHS Students of WASSCE 2020 under the Free SHS pass the examination has procured some four hundred thousand (400,000) sets of questions and answer booklets from the West Africa Examination Council (WAEC).
These materials are to be distributed to all first batch beneficiaries of the Free Senior High School policy. The aim is to help them prepare for their final examination in April 2020. The exam booklets contain possible questions to be addressed in their final review. The move is to ensure WASSCE 2020 is passed by the students.
The Free WASSCE PASCO materials will go a long way to help candidates prepare adequately. However, it would not lead to improved grades if candidates do not work hard and prepare adequately. The 2020 WASSCE to be written will be a test case as to whether the decision of the government to roll out the Free SHS was a good decision. A poor result will have several implications and could affect the political fortunes of the NPP government.
President Akufo Addo, during a recent Eastern tour, charged Nkawkw’s Senior High school students in their final year to give his critics no chance to jubilate by passing their examination.
