Trending Video:Former President Mahama weeds busy Accra Street

Former President John Dramani Mahama this morning led a section of his security detail to clear overgrown weeds in the middle belt of the ‘Mahama’ Road in front of the new Military Cemetary. 

The overgrown weeds obstruct the view of motorists, especially towards the roundabout. The gesture by the NDC flag bearer was greeted with excitement by motorist when he was spotted busy at work Saturday morning.

NDC faithfuls believe this is the kind of selfless leadership needed by Ghana to ensure development and progress is attained and the former president and flag bearer will give attach importance to every little thing needed to move this nation forward when voted into power in the 2020 elections. 

Some pedestrians and motorists likened his efforts to the days when the founder and former president of Ghana Jerry John Rawlings used to join the ordinary people to carry out similar activities.

Since the video emerge well wishers of the NDC have read positive meaning into the action and believe, Mahama is the unavoidable choice going into the 2020 general elections. 

Others are of the view that, it sends a strong signal to the AMA and local authorities that they are sleeping on the job and need to wake up to perform their duties to keep the city clean. 

Some have also argued that, while Nana’s charges look on unconcerned and sleeping on the job, the next people’s choice at the 2020 election is busy working in the interest of the people and is visible on the grounds.
