EDUCATION: SHAI OSU DOKU DCE achieves mammoth development

The SHAI OSU DOKU DCE , Mr. Daniel Akuffo, has achieved mammoth development in the area of education. Just like Nelson Mandela, the DEC believes that “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”

For this reason infrastructural development has remained prominent on his agenda as the Municipal Chief Executive of SHAI OSU DOKU.

According to information gathered by Newsghana24 the district has been able to carry out many projects in this regard. 

Mr. Daniel Akuffo, has indicated that a total of 9 projects in the education sector were commenced under his leadership.

Whiles 4 of the 9 projects have been completed, five (5) are ongoing and  at various stages of completion. 

The projects are aimed at helping improve education in the SHAI OSU DOKU municipality. Those completed are a 6-unit classroom Block with Ancillary facilities at Osuwem, 3-Unit Classroom Block with Ancillary facilities for Asutsuare Estate D/A Basic School.

Others are a 3-Unit Classroom Block with Ancillary Facilities at Kongo and the renovation of a 4-Unit Classroom Block with Office and Store for Volivo D/A Basic School.

Ongoing Projects include a 12 Unit Classroom Block at Lanor Osuwem, 6 Unit Classroom Block at Agomeda, 3 Unit Classroom Block with Ancillary Facilities at Dodowa Methodist Basic ‘B’, Renovation/Extension of Dodowa Library among others. 

The District has also provided scholarships to some needy but brilliant students and distributed 1,750 pieces of furniture to Kindergarten pupils to help ease the furniture problems of the schools.
