Easter Giving: T.T. Brothers Sustains Support for Tema SOS Children’s Village

Children at the SOS Children’s Village in Tema marked this year’s Easter with renewed support from T.T. Brothers Limited, as the company delivered a fresh consignment of food supplies to the facility on Saturday, April 4, 2026.
The donation — made up of 15 bags of rice, 30 cartons of Rhodes fruit juice and five cartons of one-litre cooking oil — is part of the company’s annual outreach to the village, aimed at easing the burden on caregivers while enhancing the festive experience for the children.
Unlike a one-off gesture, officials say the exercise reflects a sustained relationship between the company and the orphanage, built over years of consistent engagement.
Receiving the items on behalf of the village, mother representative Victoria Kwadey expressed appreciation for what she described as timely and impactful support.
She conveyed gratitude on behalf of both staff and children, offering prayers for the continued growth of the company. The children, in a brief ceremony, echoed that appreciation by reciting the SOS Village prayer.
This year’s presentation was led by Jacqueline Tetteh, daughter of the company’s Managing Director, Isaac Tetteh, signaling a growing transition of the initiative to the next generation.
Speaking after the donation, Ms. Tetteh indicated that the outreach is gradually evolving into a family legacy, with younger members taking active roles in sustaining it.

“We’ve been coming here since we were young, and we understand what this means not just to the children, but to our parents as well,” she said, adding that the next generation intends to continue the initiative in the years ahead.
She noted that while the items donated contribute to the immediate needs of the children, the visits themselves have taken on a deeper meaning over time.
“Beyond the food, it’s also about the connection. The children look forward to these moments, and it brings them joy,” she explained.
According to her, the company coordinates closely with caregivers at the facility to ensure that donations are distributed equitably across the various homes within the village.
The involvement of the mothers, she added, helps maintain transparency and ensures that each household receives its fair share.
Although the selection of items is determined by the company, Ms. Tetteh said emphasis is placed on providing products that create a sense of occasion and break from routine for the children during festive periods.
She used the occasion to call on the public to reflect on the deeper meaning of Easter, urging individuals to extend acts of kindness within their communities.
“Easter is about love and sacrifice. Everyone can do something, no matter how small, to support someone in need,” she said.
The latest donation underscores T.T. Brothers Limited’s continued focus on community support, particularly for vulnerable children, as it maintains its longstanding association with the Tema SOS Children’s Village.
