Drivers, teachers, nurses et al are crying due to economic hardship – Kweku Boahen

Hon. Kweku Boahen, the former Deputy Communication Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has stated that drivers, teachers, nurses, and everyone else in Ghana are crying due to the economic hardship the Nana Add0-Bawunia government has plunged the country into.
He made this pronouncement on UTV during the Adehye Nsroma morning show. He went on to say that, despite all the negative indicators and the actual suffering of the Ghanaian people, the president is not taking any action.
Those in the hinterlands and mining areas, where illegal mining has proliferated and is wreaking havoc on ordinary Ghanaians and the land overall, bemoaned the challenges they face.
He added that nearly 37% of Ghanaians have become so poor that they cannot afford a three-square meal a day.
According to him, President Akufo Addo and the NPP have become useless to the ordinary people of Ghana because citizens cannot access good health care and roads, among other things.
Hon. Boahen further stated that the presidents should have resigned by now due to their failure to serve the people of Ghana.
In a related development, he argued that he has been wondering why people are running after Vice President and NPP Presidential candidates, Dr. Bawumia, after the abysmal performance of the NPP led by President AkufoAddo and Vice President Dr. Bawumia. He further asserted that Dr. Bawumia, the Vice President and NPP presidential candidate, has nothing to offer Ghanaians in the forthcoming general election.
He blamed the government for failing to honor its promises and failing to pay nurses allowances, which have been in arrears for many months, making it virtually impossible for students to survive on campus. He alleged that students who have completed nursing training colleges, as well as their national services, have also not received their allowances for the period they serve under the NSS.

He questioned why Dr. Bawumia, who has shown himself to be a poor bus conductor, is demanding the steering wheel in the upcoming elections. Ghana needs a leader who has the people of Ghana at heart, not a reckless driver’s mate, according to Hon. Kweku Boahen.
