Cancel Mid-Semester exams, KNUST students cry due to Coronavirus fears
Students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) are saying the university should Cancel Mid-Semester exams due to Coronavirus fears especially when it will call for students to converge at various lecture halls for the exams.
They have taken to social media to ask if the Mid-Semester examination and lectures are more important than the health and well being of their students?

It is clear the students are demanding safety first action since the mid-semester exams can wait for now.
The call comes just after the University of Ghana announced the cancellation of Mid- Semester exams t the UG. LEGON Cancels Mid-Semester Exams And Church Services Indefinitely In Face Of Coronavirus Scare. This was as at Saturday 14th March, 2020.

According to our sources on the grounds, Shuttles are no more working and so many students will find it difficult commuting should the University go ahead with its exams.

The UG message on cancellation of all IAs read:
“The SRC wishes to inform the student populace that all Interim Assessments (IA) scheduled for the weekend (Sunday March 15, 2020)have been cancelled until further notice.
This directive is in line with the statement from the Public Affairs Directorate suspending all gatherings on campus, until further notice.
It must be mentioned that, all gatherings on campus including church services for the weekend have been suspended indefinitely.”
