A video of Kumawood Actor Oboy Siki known in real life as Nana Ofori Agyemang is going viral on social media in which the say-it-all actor is dragging President Akufo-Addo for breach of trust.
In the video shot in an interview with Kofi TV, Oboy Siki accused President Akufo-Addo of pretending not to need Ghana’s money because he is well to do only to turn around and be chopping state money.
He said Otumfuo advised Akufo-Addo not to come to power and look for money but Akufo-Addo didn’t listen.
“His Majesty told him you, it is not now that you’re coming to look for money to do anything but now we know he is looking for money to take somewhere but he (Akufo-Addo) didn’t tell us. We didn’t know he actually wanted money.” He said.
Asked by Kofi TV what Akufo-Addo needed money for, Oboy Siki said: “Doesn’t he have kids, grandkids, friends, doesn’t he have town people that he is pushing the money to?”
He said Akufo-Addo was broke but pretended he was rich in order to become President.
“It is not every ‘shine shine’ that is money. What money did Akufo-Addo have? What work did he do that he made some big money that we know in this country? People who open companies that are running and producing are those we call rich. Akufo-Addo had no business that guaranteed money coming in. It was his father who became President and built some houses and the family shared and some little money came. How does that make him rich? He was never rich.” The Kumawood veteran explained on Kofi TV.
“It was Kwasi Nyantakyi who exposed him as having sold his father’s properties. Whether it is true or not we have a witness so Akufo-Addo is not a rich man for Otumfuo to have advised him that he didn’t need Ghana’s money. What he meant was that you’re already grown and the money you are coming to amass you can’t use it for anything. Maybe you do a little to position your kids and then you focus on the country.” He added.
It is unclear when the interview was conducted whether it is an old or recent one.
