BMW Club Ghana Makes Donation to Ghana Prisons
BMW Club Ghana, the country’s leading car club, has made a great donations to the Ghana Prisons in Akuse, Eastern Region.
The club, known for its commitment to promoting auto sports and fostering networking opportunities, has also demonstrated its dedication to community support and development.
Over the weekend, the club donated 50 high-density student mattresses, five TV sets, toiletries, sanitary pads, soaps, water, and tissues to the correctional institution.
Additionally, the club provided lunch for over 250 inmates in the female and male wards. This generous donation is a fulfillment of a promise made by the club after an earlier visit to assess the needs of the institution.
The President of BMW Club Ghana, Kwesi Crabbe, expressed his gratitude to the Ghana Prisons Service for their tireless efforts in preparing inmates for reintegration into society.
“We want our donations to serve as encouragement to the inmates and to reassure them that they haven’t been neglected,” he said. “We believe in initiatives that promote human growth and development through our corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs while complementing the efforts of the government.”

The club’s donation is not only a testament to their commitment to community support but also reflects their broader mission to promote the BMW brand while contributing positively to society. The club has previously donated to various orphanages across the country and was instrumental in donating medical supplies to hospitals during the pandemic.
In addition to promoting auto sports and fostering networking opportunities, BMW Club Ghana is dedicated to contributing to sustainable initiatives across Ghana. The club’s donation to the Ghana Prisons is a shining example of this commitment.
As Kwesi Crabbe emphasized, “We know we are far from the ideal situation, but this should serve as an important start in what we are trying to do for humanity.” The club’s efforts are a reminder that even small acts of kindness can have a significant impact on those in need.
