AFCON 2023Q: Black Stars start training for Angola clash on with Chris Hughton

The coach of the Ghana Black Stars, Chris Hughton started his preparations for the Black Stars doubleheader against Angola with 8 players in camp on Monday.
The training session was the first since he took over as the coach of the team. The Black Stars are preparing for the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on Thursday.
The eight players who have reported to camp so far include the skipper Andre Ayew who trained with the team at the Accra Sports Stadium ahead of the first game of new national team head coach, Chris Hughton.
Other players present at the session were Joojo Wollacott, Inaki Williams, Daniel Amartey, Joseph Aidoo, Antoine Semenyo, Joseph Paintsil, and new boy Ransford-Yeboah.
The rest of the players are expected to arrive on Monday night to join the team fly to Kumasi for Tuesday’s training session at the Baba Yara stadium.
Joojo Wollacott, who suffered an injury before the World Cup last year, had a session with goalkeepers’ trainer Richard Kingston, while the rest of the group was asked to stretch their muscles and did a bit of kick-about with the ball.
Chris Hughton had a team talk with the boys, and also had a tete â tete with Abdul Fatawu Issahaku and Daniel Afriyie Barnieh who are with the Black Meteors.
Black Stars management committee chairman, Mark Addo, watched the session.
