Accident Claims Four Lives On Accra-Kumasi Road
A tragic accident occurred on the Accra-Kumasi road near Kubease, close to Sekyere-Nkwanta, which led to the loss of four lives, including a one-year-old baby.
The accident happened when a big truck lost control and hit a small bus carrying the victims.
The crash was very serious and caused the bus to flip over and fall into a ditch.
Sadly, the four people on the bus died from their injuries, while others on board were hurt.

The injured passengers were quickly taken to the Ejisu Government Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of those who passed away were respectfully taken to the Juaben Government Hospital mortuary.
The driver of the big truck has been taken by the police to help them understand what happened.
This sad event reminds us of the importance of being careful and following the rules when we are on the road.
Which Body Supervises Road Safety In Ghana?
The National Road Safety Commission (NRSC) is the government agency responsible for supervising road safety in Ghana.
The NRSC was established to create awareness, educate the public, and implement strategies to reduce road accidents and fatalities in the country.

It is not a hundred percent sure that we can make sure that there is safety on our roads all the time since life is of full of uncertainties and no one can predict the future and that comes with a tragedy.
Notwithstanding, we can, in one way or the other, mitigate the excesses of accidents that can happen on our roads and these are some ways to ensure that there is safety on our roads;
1. Obey Traffic Laws: Always follow speed limits, traffic signals, and road signs. Avoid reckless driving and overtaking.
2. Wear Seat Belts: Make sure all passengers wear seat belts, including those sitting in the back seat. Seat belts save lives in case of an accident.
3. Avoid Distractions: Do not use your phone, eat, or engage in any activity that diverts your attention while driving. Focus on the road at all times.
4. Maintain Your Vehicle: Regularly check and maintain your car to ensure it is roadworthy. Check brakes, lights, tires, and other essential parts.
5. Stay Alert: Be aware of your surroundings and anticipate potential dangers on the road. Watch out for pedestrians, cyclists, and other vehicles.
6. Plan Your Journey: Allow enough time for your trip to avoid rushing and making risky decisions while driving.
