AAMUSTED welcomes 6,756 new students

Since becoming a fully-fledged university in 2020, the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED) has hosted its third matriculation.
Prof. Frederick K. Sarfo, the University’s Vice-Chancellor, indicated that despite the fact that more than 8,000 of the over 10,000 applications were qualified for admission, the University was only able to admit over 6,000 students due to a lack of suitable teaching staff and physical buildings.
A total of 6,184 undergraduate students and 572 postgraduate students were accepted into various programs.
There were 4,256 men and 2,500 women among the total. There were also 730 students offering education diplomas through distant education.
Prof. Sarfo stated that the university’s administration, with the backing of the governing council, was working relentlessly to enhance the university’s conditions.
He mentioned a 3,000-seat Executive Students Association lecture hall, a 1,500-seat lecture hall, and a four-story Opoku Ware II Hall of Residence addition as some of the major initiatives underway.
