Coming into this international friendly game, the Ghana Football Association has added some new faces to the technical team of the Black Stars to assist with tactical and technical decisions ahead of the upcoming World Cup.

Both Alain Ravera and Kim Lars Björkegren have been appointed as assistant coaches. José Daniel Martínez Alfonso, a Spaniard, has also been appointed by the FA as a video analyst. He will oversee the recording and evaluation of training footage, analyse team tactics, and scout opponents for their strengths and weaknesses.

Carlos Lozano Romero has also been reappointed as the team’s physiotherapist. In addition, British-born Ghanaian performance specialist Dwayne Peasah Paa Kwesi has been appointed as a performance coach.

Key player Mohammed Kudus, who plays for Tottenham Hotspur in the English top flight, could not join the team as he is nursing a muscle injury.

Five new players have been called up to join the team: Patrick Pfeiffer (SV Darmstadt), Derrick Luckassen (Pafos FC), Marvin Senaya (Auxerre), Prince Adu (Viktoria Plzen), and Daniel Agyei (Kocaelispor).
