Mr Adda, who had claimed that Hon Abayage was relatively unknown and therefore had no clout in the Navrongo Central Constituency, is now nursing his wounds having obtained 269 votes, as Hon Abayage clenched 313 votes to secure the spot.
Many analysts had found it difficult to predict the winner given the keen competition. But Madam Tangoba Abayage, known as the Lioness has won.
Many congratulatory messages are trickling in following the announcement of the provisional results.
