The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has cautioned all remedial “virtual” schools using advertisements promising to register candidates to desist from the Registration of Unqualified Candidates for WASSCE 2020 for school candidates as it is illegal.
Candidates who aren’t bonafide students of recognized public/private senior high schools are regarded as unqualified candidates and will have their registration nullified.
WAEC stated categorically that the WASSCE for School Candidates is made available to the simplest students who’re in recognized public/private schools, and have gone past through 3 years of senior high schooling. The examination has a 30% continuous assessment component.
Persons who register through those remedial/virtual schools do so at their own threat as the Council will match the statistics of all candidates who are registered for the WASSCE for School Candidates, 2020 with current information in its database.
