2025 FIFA Club World Cup

The 21st edition of the FIFA Club World Cup is scheduled to be played tomorrow, 15th June 2025, with the first game being played between Inter Miami of the United States and Al Ahly of Egypt.
The tournament is set to be played in the United States in twelve stadiums across eleven cities. The 2025 Club World Cup is planned to be the first under an expanded format with 32 teams in six football confederations in the world.
French Montana and Swae Lee will headline the opening ceremony, which will take place at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium before the opening match between Al Ahly and Inter Miami CF.
According to FIFA, an amount of $1 billion will be distributed among the clubs for participating or even winning the tournament.
New Rules for the Tournament
- A free kick is to be awarded to the opponent’s team after the goalkeeper holds on to the ball for eight seconds.
- Enhanced semi-automated offside technology.
- Referees to wear body cameras for a whole new view as the referee sees it. This video feed from the ref’s cameras will be used during VAR calls.
- Big screen display for spectators of VAR review. Audio conversations between the match referee and the VAR referees will still not be made heard.
- No red card for coaches who touch the ball when in play.
