Women In Ministry Network International holds conference, inspires women
Some women drawn from various churches and religious denominations across the country and beyond have benefited from a day capacity building conference aimed at strengthening, motivating and above all equipping them with the requisite knowledge to help them effectively and efficiently discharge their duties within their various churches and ministries in service to mankind and to the glory of God.
The beneficiaries, made up of pastor’s wives, lady pastors, church workers and christian leaders were enlightened on the principles of the holy scriptures under various topics which focused on their spiritual life, roles and background. This, included the challenges of pastor’s wives, christian leaders and church workers among others and how they can be overcome.
The stimulating and power packed conference which came on the theme: “The Holy Spirit Working through Women in the last days” was facilitated by hosts of christian leaders including Rev. Dr Francisca Duncan Williams, Rev. Christy Doe Tetteh, Rev. Adawousso Messan (Togo), Dr. Patience Annan (UK), Rev. Abena Asare and Lady pastor Ivy Yayra.
The event was held at the ICGC restoration temple at Osu in Accra on Friday February 18, 2022.
President for Women In Ministries Network International, Lady Pastor Ivy Yayra in an interview observed that the purpose for the gathering was to convene, share ideas, knowledge and experiences in order to be educated and be inspired to do more as christian women to win souls for the God’s kingdom.
“We hold to each other for that support, for that encouragement so that we can do well in our various churches and ministries”.
Touching on event theme, Lady pastor Yayra averred that without the holy spirit, women are void. While quoting a scripture in the bible (Luke 1:26-38) to buttress her point, she said:
“When God sent an angel to Mary, he told Mary that she is going to carry a seed that would deliver the whole world, so I can get my people back to me and Mary knowing she does not have the capacity, she asked of the angel how can this be when when I know no man, I’m a virgin, I don’t have the capability, I don’t have the effort and the technical know how?. And the angel replied: “the holy spirit will overshadow you”.
She concluded: “So when we can carry our project, our callings and our gifts, we can’t do away with the holy spirit as christians”.
For her part, the coordinator of the
Women In Ministry Network International, Pastor Melody Amartey noted that the Ministry is simply on the mission to revive the spirits, body and soul of christian women so as to be energized and get them going again for God.
“At times, women get famished and they feel like quitting because of the imbalance in their personal life”
“Their marriage life, their families lives and that of the work of God. When their husbands are drawing them, church is also pulling them so conferences like this seeks to bring the balance that they are seeking that will give them the energy to thrive on and to move forward”.
Women In Ministry Network International is a gathering of women who have a zeal and passion to serve the Lord and work in the house of God.
