UTAG National President Clarifies Stance on Suspension of Strike

Professor Solomon Nunoo, UTAG National President, took the initiative to clarify issues following the strike related incidents at the various main public universities.
Prof Solomon made his statement on Newsfile on Saturday February 26,2022 that the suspension of the nationwide strike action still stands regardless of the disagreement by various lecturers from various branches of the Association.
He made a clear reference to the Association’s constitution which requires the lecturers to return to normal teaching and learning activities at the various public universities.
He claims that the decision of the suspension was taken to allow negotiations to move forward with government.Prof Solomon Nunoo also made clear that the strike action can always be rescheduled if negotiations break down or do not meet expectations.
