The University of Auckland International Student Excellence Scholarship is available to new International undergraduate and postgraduate students applying to study taught PGDip or Masters degrees of 120 points or more, or to study undergraduate degrees (with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications). Any subject can be studied.
The Scholarship’s main goal is to attract new international students of high caliber to enroll in a year or more of undergraduate or postgraduate taught study at the University of Auckland.

Number of Scholarships:
Up to 50 Scholarships will be awarded bi-annually with each scholarship valued at up to $10,000, for postgraduate and undergraduate study.
Applicants must be new international students who have received an unconditional offer or English Language Academy (ELA) students who have received a conditional offer, of study to undertake a Postgraduate Diploma or Masters (taught) of 120 points or more, or an undergraduate degree (applying with overseas secondary or post-secondary qualifications) at the University of Auckland. Applicants should generally have a grade point equivalent (GPE) of at least 6.00.
The basis of selection will be academic merit, the quality of the letter of application, and endorsement by the applicant’s referee. The country of origin of the applicant may also be considered by the selection committee.
Scholarship applications will usually open around 6 weeks before the closing date. The application deadline for studies commencing February 2023 is21 November 2022or20 April 2023for studies commencing July 2023.
