TT Brothers Limited marks 22nd New Year celebration with Tema SOS Children’s Village

TT Brothers Limited has once again ushered in the New Year with love, generosity, and joy, as it hosted a colourful New Year celebration for children of the SOS Children’s Village in Tema, marking the company’s 22nd consecutive year of supporting the orphanage.
The annual event, which has become a permanent fixture on the company’s calendar, brought together children, mothers, caregivers, staff of the village, and members of the media in an atmosphere filled with excitement, gratitude, and celebration.
Presenting the donations on behalf of TT Brothers Limited, the company’s Secretary, Juliana Aba Bilson, expressed appreciation to the SOS Children’s Village for welcoming the company year after year.
“It’s not every house that when you knock, they open their doors to you,” she said.
“For 22 years, SOS has welcomed us, and we are grateful to celebrate the New Year once again with the children. This is our small token to say thank you, and we promise to keep coming.”
As part of the celebration, TT Brothers Limited donated 15 bags of rice, 15 bottles of cooking oil, and 30 cartons of assorted drinks to support the daily needs of the children.
The items were received on behalf of the orphanage by Mother Representative Theresa Safoh, who expressed deep appreciation to the company, its management, and staff for their unwavering commitment over the years.
Beyond the donations, the event was packed with engaging activities including musical chairs, dancing competitions, and open dance sessions, which saw children, mothers, and guests joyfully participating together.
Winners of the competitions were rewarded with gifts and awards, further adding to the excitement.
As part of the festivities, hot meals were served to the entire village, with assorted soft drinks provided for children, mothers, and guests, reinforcing the sense of community and shared celebration.
Speaking in an interview, Eric Duodu, Alternative Care Coordinator of SOS Children’s Village, Tema, underscored the importance of partnerships in caring for vulnerable children.
“SOS Children’s Village cannot do this work alone. Partnerships like the one we have with TT Brothers Limited are crucial,” he noted.
“For 22 years, TT Brothers has shown consistency, and every donation that comes to SOS goes directly to the benefit of the children. We have strict systems and audits to ensure accountability.”
He also used the occasion to call on other organisations and individuals to support the mission of SOS Children’s Village across Ghana.
TT Brothers Limited reaffirmed its commitment to the initiative, describing the New Year celebration at SOS as one of the company’s most cherished annual programmes.
“For us, the biggest reward is the smile on the children’s faces,” Juliana Bilson added. “This is not something we plan to stop. It is a promise, and we look forward to doing even more.”
The celebration ended with group photographs, dancing, and renewed pledges of support, once again highlighting TT Brothers Limited’s dedication to social responsibility and its long-standing partnership with SOS Children’s Village in Tema.
