Three Higher Learning Institutions have received charter approval from the President of Ghana

Some three universities, the Methodist University College, Ghana, the Presbyterian University College, Ghana and the Catholic University College, Ghana, have seen their request to receive a charter approved by the Office of the President.
Apparently, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo has consented that the three institutions of higher learning be granted the Presidential Charter.
What that implies is that the three universities in question can now by themselves grant degrees without relying on any affiliated universities.
This was confirmed by an official statement released by the Office of the President signed by Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to the President.
