Students and Occupants of Abetifi Technical Institute Resort to Open Defecation

On Thursday March 3,2022, the Chief Security Person of the Abetifi Technical Institute(ATI), Mr Benjamin Ofori Ansong, made some revelations about the school’s toilet system on Accra 100.5 fm.
There has been complaints from surrounding farm owners and residents about their farms and farmlands being covered severally with faeces.
The suspects are obviously the residents and students of the Abetifi Technical Institute.
Per some of the revelations, the school currently lacks a proper toilet facility since the destruction of the first having to use a dug hole as one.
Even that strategy backfired with the great increase in the number of students due to the free SHS policy.
Apparently, a new biogas toilet facility has been completed for a while but is still not in use due to scarcity of water in the Kwahu East District which has been confirmed by the Assembly man of Domekubase Christian Quarters Electoral Area, Mr Agyapong Boahen.
