Stonebwoy sues Baba Sadiq for defamation
In a recent showbiz news, Ghanaian Dancehall and afrobeat artiste Livingstone Etse Satekla, who’s stage name is Stonebwoy, has filed a lawsuit against Sadiq Abdulai Abu, popularly known as Baba Sadiq.
This move came after Baba Sadiq made some allegedly defamatory comments about Stonebwoy on X (formerly Called Twitter).
Due to the defamation, Stonebwoy has decided to drag Baba Sadiq to court.
In the writ filed in the High Court of Justice on 31st May, 2024, the recent Artiste of The Year Winner at Telecel Ghana Music Awards, is requesting that the court orders Baba Sadiq to delete his comments and render and unqualified apology to him, Stonebwoy.
Stonebwoy has also requested that the court orders Baba Sadiq to reward him a cash of 3 million Ghana cedis for the damages caused to his brand and reputation.
According to Stonebwoy, Baba Sadiq deliberately acted in a way intended to defame Stonebwoy by publishing a statement that he knew was not true about Stonebwoy .
Stonebwoy’s lawsuit does not come as a surprise at all as netizens are aware of the falsehoods surrounding the tweets made by Baba Sadiq.
Fans of Stonebwoy showed worry about the defamatory comments, advising Stonebwoy not to let this action by Baba Sadiq slide. Baba Sadiq’s comment on X implored that Stonebwoy was a violent female abuser.
