Security Guard At Mobik Filling Station Shot To Death By Armed Robbers
A security guard was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen at the Mobik Energy Fuel Filling Station on the Tarkwa-Banso route in the Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality. The attackers are suspected to be armed thieves.
When the suspects, who were clad in jackets with hoods and caps, attacked the scene and reportedly shot the dead, Haruna Iddrisu, to death, he was performing his routine patrol duties.
According to a source who confirmed the occurrence to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), it took place on December 5, 2022, somewhere in the early morning hours, around two o’clock.

After the crime, according to the source, the suspects broke into five different rooms where some company employees had gone to sleep after finishing their shift and hid the deceased person’s body in the back of the gas station.
The thieves allegedly beat up a few of the employees, stole about GHC 22,000 in cash, and made unsuccessful attempts to unlock the be pm safe.
The source claims that after being notified, the police went to the scene to investigate the body.
Since then, the body has been kept in the mortuary at the Apinto Government Hospital for preservation and an autopsy.
The Police at Tarkwa has invited some of the employees to help with investigations.
