Reject Me If I Don’t Deliver After Four Years – Bawumia
As the December elections approach, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidate, has sought the support of the Nanung people. He highlighted that unlike former President John Mahama, who can only serve one more term of four years, he can potentially serve for eight years. Dr. Bawumia urged the people to vote for him, assuring them they can reject him in the next election if he fails to fulfill his promises.
During his campaign stop in Bimbilla, in the Northern region, the Vice President said, “I am the Vice President; I’ve not been president yet. I want to plead with you. I am going to the contest with my senior John Mahama. He has been president before, and when he comes, he has only four years. I will be in office for eight years when I arrive; thus, if we consider the presidency, would we like to have four years or eight years? Despite the fact that he would not come after four years, I will come for renewal; thus, I ask that you kindly give me the opportunity so that I can be accountable.”

He hopes that if Dr. Bawumia is elected, he will build a health institution, improve the Bimbilla municipal hospital, establish a university, and enhance the water supply for Nanung.
Dr. Bawumia’s appeal underscores his commitment to long-term development and accountability. He stressed that the extended potential tenure would allow him to implement and complete significant projects and policies that would benefit the region and the country as a whole.
He further reassured the people of Nanung that his administration would prioritize their needs and work diligently to address the challenges they face. By asking the electorate to hold him accountable, he emphasized his dedication to transparency and delivering tangible results.
The support from Nyelinbolgu Naa Dassana Andani Yakubu is a significant boost to Dr. Bawumia’s campaign, reflecting the confidence of local leaders in his vision and capabilities. The regent’s expectations for improved healthcare, education, and water supply resonate with the broader aspirations of the community, highlighting the crucial areas that Dr. Bawumia’s potential presidency aims to address.
As the election draws nearer, Dr. Bawumia’s message of accountability and commitment to an eight-year plan sets a clear distinction between his candidacy and that of former President John Mahama, emphasizing the benefits of long-term governance for sustained development.
