Reports say that R&B singer B. Smyth died at the age of 28 because he couldn’t breathe. On Thursday, November 17, the singer’s brother Denzil Smith posted a video on Smyth’s official Instagram page to confirm the news.
“I’m sorry to say that my brother died this morning after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis,” Smith wrote. “He died of respiratory failure.”
“My brother was very happy to see that a lot of you made challenges for his new single #Twerkoholic part 2 while he was in the ICU. It made him smile a big smile.
“So, on behalf of my brother and my family, we’d like to thank you all for your love and support over the years,” he said. “We’d like to be left alone during these hard times. We also want to thank you for all the prayers you have said for us. #RIPBSMYTH Love you, bro!
