Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) confirmed as Ligue 1 champions: What occurred?

PSG secured a 3-3 draw against Le Havre on Saturday, extending their lead over Monaco to 12 points as they approach the 31st matchday in the French top-flight. Initially, Monaco seemed capable of postponing the celebration of the title holders when they took a 1-0 lead early on in their clash in Lyon. However, the home team rallied and managed to take a 2-1 lead after 26 minutes.

In the second half, Monaco successfully equalized the score with Ben Yedder scoring his second goal. However, Lyon had the last say in the match, as Malick Fofana secured the winning goal in the 84th minute. This outcome now places Monaco 12 points behind PSG, with only three matches remaining. It is worth noting that Luis Enrique’s team cannot be surpassed and has now clinched their 12th national title in history.

Paris Saint-Germain has only been defeated in one out of their 31 matches in the league this season, scoring an impressive 76 goals while only conceding 29. Leading striker Kylian Mbappe is well on his way to securing the top scorer award, with an impressive 26 goals – a significant 18 goals ahead of the closest contender for the prize.
