Police Arrest 487 QNET Ponzi Scheme Members In Kumasi
On Monday, 2nd September, 2024, the Ghana Police Service through an intelligence-led operation yesterday, arrested four hundred and eighty-seven (487) suspects who are members of the QNET Ponzi scheme in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
The suspects, consisting 257 females and 230 males, were arrested in a house located at Adwuman near Kenyasi, a suburb of Kumasi.
Preliminary investigations established that the suspects through the scheme, successfully enticed unsuspecting persons from various parts of the country under the guise of offering lucrative returns on their investments.
Exhibits retrieved from them include registration documents and other materials bearing the QNET logos.
The Ghana Police Service has identified the following as the executives of the svheme; Gyereh Evelyn, Francis Kpesah, Samuel Musah, Simon Yakubu, Thomas Kotual, Kwasi Nyabi, Benjamin Nsigma, Elijah Musah, Moses Katu, John Balabon Tagnakibi, James Nogma, and Fidelis Bang-ib. They are currently in Police custody assisting the investigation.
Qnet, an MLM company, has been disowned in most countries due to operating as a Ponzi scheme. This is when the money returned to earlier investors is actually the capital putting in by new investors rather than profits made from the business. Even if it is not popular in the country of Ghana, it is proved that Qnet has captured a great share because of its fraudulent acts. Many of the Ghanaian people were caught into the web of the scheme due to the phishy winning high returns in the end as well as getting Job opportunities, but only to find later that they had been defrauded.

Through the Ghanaian police, Qnet has been fighting to stop effective practices of the company in the country. Some of their strategies include putting in soffit networks management to arrest people in connection to Qnet, especially those who are finding members for the organization under false pretexts. They have also organized programs to stop the citizens from becoming members of the l236 Qnet 237 ponzi scheme and other such schemes through the use of community meetings and posters.
Likewise, the police are working with other arms of government in particular EOCO to assist them in getting rid of Qnet in Ghana. They are also pursuing other agencies who deal in law with other nations who has Qnet in their countries, hoping to come up with a well-organized campaign against the spread of this scheme.
