Police arrest 3 persons over UENR field trip Robbery Attack

The Ghana Police Service has successfully apprehended three suspects connected to a recent robbery targeting students and lecturers of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) during a field trip.

The incident transpired on the Odomase-Badu road in the Sunyani West Municipality around 7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 16, 2024.

The robbery occurred as the victims were returning from a field trip. The suspects ambushed them, resulting in a harrowing experience for all involved.

The police managed to apprehend one suspect at the scene, while subsequent investigations and intelligence gathering led to the capture of two more suspects at their respective hideouts.

During the operation, the police recovered multiple mobile phones and other valuable items that had been stolen from the victims.
