Parents advised to invest on early childhood education

Dec.10 – Dr Ibrahim M. Gunu, the Dean of Faculty of Education at University for Development Studies, (UDS) Tamale has appealed to parents and guardians to invest more on early childhood education which have significant life -long effect on their children.
He said a child’s early care education is the foundation for his or her future development, which provide a strong base for learning abilities including cognitive and social development.
Dr Gunu made the appeal during Idress Smart Academy School graduation ceremony in Tamale.
The event was on the theme: Emphasizing the value of formal education in Northern Ghana”.
He stated that education is considered the most empowering tool as it creates knowledge, values, builds confidence of individuals and breaks down serious barriers to opportunities which enhance better life for children.
According to him, all children deserve to get access to quality education as part of promoting the country development.
professor Muniru Iddrisu, the Proprietor of Idress Smart Academy advised patient’s to support stakeholders in the education sector to bright the future of their children development.
Professor Iddrisu who is also the Dean for Mathematics at UDS advised patients to take the responsibilities making sure they provide their children’s needs to promote their ward’s quality education.
He added that patients should also to make sure their children report in school on time as part of the measurement to enhance the children wayward.
Idress Smart Academy is a private school established in Tamale three years ago, operated from daycare to Junior High School.
