As a part of corporate social responsibility initiatives, Aduro Ye Herbal Centre, producers of Obuasi Bitters, donates two hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GHc200,000) to the Heal Komfo Anokye Project.
The project, launched by the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, aims to raise ten million dollars (US$10,000,000) to renovate and maintain the infrastructure of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, a tertiary referral facility that has not seen any major refurbishment since its construction over seven decades ago.
The CEO of Aduro Ye Herbal Centre, Dr. Amoah Collins, spoke at a press conference after the donation, highlighting the significance of the project.
“As an organization with a presence in Obuasi and the Ashanti Region, we are deeply concerned about the plight of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. This hospital serves as a lifeline for specialists in twelve out of Ghana’s sixteen regions, and if it is in distress, we should all be concerned.”
Dr. Amoah commended the Asantehene for initiating the project, which he believes is a call to all Ghanaians to come together and support the hospital. “If the hospital is in dire straits and our hallowed King has begun this project, it is a laudable call on all of us in the region to heed.”
According to Dr. Amoah, Aduro Ye Herbal Centre decided to make this donation immediately after the project was launched. “We set aside some revenue over time to donate to this worthy cause.

As an Ashanti proverb says, ‘the housefly with all its penury never departs without leaving the little remnants in its palms.’ We believe that every contribution counts, no matter how small it may seem.”
The Heal Komfo Anokye Project aims to raise funds to renovate and maintain the infrastructure of the hospital, including repairing and replacing fittings, refurbishing facilities, purchasing state-of-the-art medical equipment, and enhancing the physical aesthetics of the facility.
The project is a testament to the commitment of the Asantehene and other stakeholders to improve healthcare services in Ghana.
Aduro Ye Herbal Centre’s donation is a significant boost to the project, and we hope that other organizations and individuals will follow their lead.
