NIA to break temporary in mass registration exercise in Ashanti Region
The National Identification Authority (NIA) wishes to announce for the information of the general public, particularly residents of the Ashanti Region, that the mass registration exercises currently underway In the Ashanti Region will be temporarily placed on hold from Tuesday, 24. December to Sunday, 29. Decerribt, 2019.
The break will enable the registration officials, who have been in eleven regions in the country undertaking the mass registration exercise since April 2019, to join their families for the Christmas holidays and festivities. The break will also enable the NIA to address a number of operational issues affecting the printing and Issuance of cards in the Ashanti Region.
Accordingly. the MASS registration exercise in the Ashanti Region will resume on Monday, 30. December 2019 and continue till Friday, 10. January 2020 excluding 1″ and 7 0 January 2020 which are statutory public holidays.
