Newlywed woman chops off manhood of her husband
A newlywed woman, Habiba Ibrahim, has reportedly chopped off the manhood of her 40-year-old husband, Salisu Idris, while he was asleep.
Daily Trust reports that Idris, a commercial motorcycle rider and resident of Kudan in Kaduna State, said the incident happened on May 26 after he returned from early morning prayers.
The victim recounted that he was lying on his bed to rest when his wife suddenly attacked him with a sharp knife, severing his manhood.
Idris said his neighbors quickly came to his rescue upon hearing his cries for help. They managed to provide immediate aid and transported him to a nearby hospital.
From there, Idris was referred to the General Hospital, where doctors worked diligently to save his life.
The severity of the injury required prompt medical intervention, highlighting the brutal nature of the attack.
In an emotional recount, Idris revealed that he and Habiba had been married for only about four months. He expressed his bewilderment, stating that he could not understand the motive behind her violent action.
According to him, their relationship appeared loving, and there had been no prior misunderstandings or conflicts that could have hinted at such a drastic event.
Idris’ shock and confusion are evident, as he grapples with the sudden and inexplicable assault by his spouse.
Idris’ mother, Rabi Salisu, has been by his side in the hospital, offering support and care during his recovery.
She mentioned that although they did not live in the same compound as her son and his wife, Idris had never reported any issues or complaints about Habiba to her.
Rabi Salisu’s involvement underscores the family’s distress and the unexpected nature of the incident.
She also noted that Habiba’s parents were deeply concerned and have expressed their willingness to cover the medical expenses incurred due to the attack.
The suspect, Habiba Ibrahim, has been arrested by the authorities. However, the state police command has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
The lack of immediate commentary from the police adds an element of uncertainty to the situation, leaving the public and those involved awaiting further details on the investigation and potential charges against Habiba.
