National Chocolate Week by Ghana Tourism Authority and Cocoa Board Commences.


The Ghana Tourism Authority and Cocoa Board launched a the National Chocolate Week celebration with a five kilometer health walk on Saturday February 5, 2022 which stretched from Ayi Mensah Toll Booth as the starting point and ended at the Peduase Lodge.
The main reason behind the celebration is to celebrate the month of Love, February, which has Valentine’s Day as its center.
The National Chocolate week is scheduled to commence on February 8, 2022 and end on February 14, 2022.
Mr Fiifi Yeboah, the Public Affairs Manager for Cocoa Board, suggested that the main objective was to show off the country’s pride as a top producing nation of Cocoa worldwide and to make a chocolate festival of it with Accra and Kumasi as the pilot cities to mark the event.
Mr. Jones Aruna Nelson, Director of Corporate Affairs for Ghana Tourism Authority, also reiterated the importance of cocoa production and investment to the economy of Ghana.
