National Cathedral Secretariat’s infamous Kempinski expenditure of GHS790,845.27 details have been made public by Hon. Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament for Noth Tongue.
Instead of spending the funds on the building of the National Cathedral, the resources were channeled into Two Bible Museum of Africa Symposium for a National Cathedral which was sill at the foundation level.
“This is the breakdown of the infamous Kempinski expenditure as provided to Parliament by the Cathedral Secretariat. Perhaps if this GHS790,845.27 & other diversions were channeled into actual construction, the contractors wouldn’t have stopped work due to lack of payment.” The Mp stated.
Ghanaians have reacted to the figures disclosed by the MP and questioned how the National Cathedral Secretariat could spend a whooping GHS50,000 plus on just printing and stationery.
