Lil Win granted GH¢50k bail; case adjourned to June 27
Veteran Kumawood actor, Kwadwo Nkansah, affectionately known as Lil Win, has been granted a bail of ¢50,000 with two sureties by the Asokore Mampong District Court following his arrest today, Monday 3rd June, 2024.
Lil Win was taken into custody by the Motor Traffic and Transport Department officers of the Manhyia Divisional Command right after he was discharged from the hospital.
Lilwin is being arrested due to a recent accident he caused by driving at high speed, the accident sadly resulted in the death of a three year old boy.
The family of the deceased three year old boy called for justice for their child, but the Ghana Police cited that the delay for justice for the child is due to Lilwin’s bad health condition ( injuries caused by the accident).
The charges leveled against Lilwin are dangerous driving and negligence in driving.
In today’s hearing at the court proceedings, the prosecution requested that Lilwin makes himself available anytime to the court at investigations about the accident continue.

Lil Win’s counsel, Margaret Adjei-Twum, argued for bail, noting that her client suffered injuries, including internal bleeding, and required further treatment.
Lilwin’s counsel, her honourable Margaret Adjei-Twum, argued for a bail. This is because her client, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin, is suffering from severe injuries.
These injuries include internal bleeding which requires special treatment.
The counsel speaking on behalf of Lilwin assured the court that Lil Win, being a well-known Person in Ghana, would not dare to evade the judicial process.
Despite the ongoing investigation and the heavy police presence at the court, the judge granted him a bail and adjourned Lilwin’s case case to June 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, sources report that the police have maintained constant communication with the family of the deceased boy.
