The way things dey go even Mahama won’t vote for himself.

To find out the reasons behind this momentous acclamation of Nana Addo by Ghanaians, NewsGhana24 monitored Facebook, Tweeter, and WhatsApp to comprehend the underlying reasons.

It came out that, many Ghanaians were pleased with steps taken by the president to deal with the COVID-19 cases in Ghana. The motivation packages to nurses, security services and other frontline workers were at the heart of this applause.

Three months of water supply without payment and the order to the Ghana Water Company and the Electricity company to ensure the continuous supply of these vital services added some flavour to the excitement. Food supply to the poor and vulnerable households in lockdown areas and Ayalolo Buses to provide transport services to essential Health Workers added another touch to the euphoria.

The NDC has indicated that all key facilities that the government is using are the works of John Dramani Mahama.

The key facilities Ghana is now relying on to fight the virus:
Ridge Hosp – JM project.
UGMC – JM project.
BOG hosp – JM project
Teshie desalination water – JM project.
Aayalolo buses – JM project.
So when they tell you it’s not a political matter they mean don’t assess Akufo-Addo.

Not all Ghanaians are enthused about the above packages some have argued that

“As you enjoy the freebies, know that we miss revenue targets, we will finance the same with some extra money and our politicians won’t cut their central costs! In effect, you will pay through your nose very soon! “
Dear NADAA, your speech was good. I liked your intentions, but I wish to comment on the offer of free water for all Ghanaians for the next three months. “Please let the middle-class areas pay for their consumption or else they may misuse water to wash cars, water lawns, etc.”
However, some Ghanaians are also advocating for Electricity bill to be included in the package.

The above is an indication that some sections of Ghanaians are not excited about the freebies. The NDC as a party has also come out with a picture to show that, the leader of the party John Dramani Mahama started the call for tariffs to be reduced. This was posted on its tweeter page minutes after the president announced the interventions.
