Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarships for International Students
The Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarships are available to international students who are interested in pursuing postgraduate studies in Wales, UK.
These scholarships are part of the Welsh Government’s initiative to support international students who wish to pursue their studies in Wales.

Scholarship Details: The Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarships offer up to £10,000 towards tuition fees for one year of study in any subject at the postgraduate level. The scholarship is available to students from any country, except for those from the UK and EU.
The scholarship is open to students who have received an offer to study a full-time postgraduate course at one of the following universities in Wales:
- Aberystwyth University
- Bangor University
- Cardiff Metropolitan University
- Cardiff University
- Glyndŵr University
- Swansea University
- University of South Wales
The scholarship is awarded based on academic merit, personal statement, and the potential impact of the student’s studies on Wales.
Scholarship Requirements: To be eligible for the Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold an offer to study a full-time postgraduate course at one of the participating universities in Wales
- Be an international student (excluding those from the UK and EU)
- Have achieved a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent) in their undergraduate degree
- Have submitted a personal statement outlining their reasons for choosing to study in Wales and how their studies will have a positive impact on Wales
Application Process: To apply for the Global Wales Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must first apply for a full-time postgraduate course at one of the participating universities in Wales. Once an offer has been received, applicants can apply for the scholarship through the university’s scholarship portal.
Applicants will be required to submit a personal statement outlining their reasons for choosing to study in Wales and how their studies will have a positive impact on Wales.
They will also need to provide academic transcripts, a CV, and two letters of reference.
