Ghana May head for run-off if that will ensure peace – Governance expert

Dr. Isaac Yamoah, a governance expert disclosed that Ghana May head for a run-off whiles discussing outcomes of the 2020 elections.

He indicated that, the decision of the electoral commission to hold on with the results was a good one that saved the nation from challenges that would have befallen the nation.

He said, the EC’s inability to declare the results saved the country. Dr. Yamoah made this statement during an interview on Kingdom 107.7 this morning.

Both the opposition and the party in power both indicated they have won the elections. In his submission he disclosed that, the stakeholders of the election are powerful pastors, kings and other persons who can have an influence on the elections and political environment.

If declaring a winner will lead to serious consequences, the stakeholders may suggest a run-off he added.

Dr. Isaac Yamoah indicated that, the other political parties and contestants on the ballot are not in the election for no reasons and that some are there to calm the elections among others.

He called on Ghanaians to remain calm. He added that we should receive the final result and announcement of the electoral commissioner.

He furthered that the time of the traditional media influencing election is over and the social network services have taken over.
