GES Extends Self-Posting Deadline for Colleges of Education Applicants
Ghana Education Services, popularly known as GES, has extended the Deadline date for self Posting for Colleges of Education 2022 Applicants.
What is the new deadline for Self-Posting for Colleges of Education Applicants in 2024
The previous GES Self posting deadline, which was 21st August, 2024 has now been extended to 30th August, 2024.
The management of Ghana Education Service explained that the extension of the deadline has become necessary as more time is needed by the 2022 College of Education Applicants to complete their online self posting process.
Part of the statement released by the management of Ghana Education Service read “this extension is intended to provide sufficient time for all applicants to complete the online self-posting process and submit their appointment letter”.

Ghana Education Service has also encouraged all applicants to regularly check the GES website and all other official channels for information and updates.
The new GES Self posting module for college of Education graduates who are seeking an opportunity to teach has allowed applicants to select their preferred region, district and school for their posting using the Ghana Education Service portal (www.gespromotions.gov.gh).
This initiative was announced by the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Dr Eric Nkansah during a press briefing in Accra On May 11, 2024.

For applicants to access their appointment letters issued by GES, applicants are required to visit the GES portal as stated earlier.
Furthermore, he stated, applicants must key in their College Index Number for qualification verification.
“Enter your phone number and NTC number accurately. This is crucial for validation and your successful application,” he said. Dr Nkansah added that applicants would receive a One-Time Password (OTP) on the provided phone number and then enter their OTP.
“Carefully select the preferred region, district and school, and then submit the application. “Save and print the Appointment Letter,” he stressed.

The Director general indicated that each appointment letter would include a QR code for verification purposes.
Applicants, he said, could scan the code with their smartphones to confirm the letter’s authenticity, saying, “this is to eliminate the occurrence of fake appointment letters”.
