The festive football calendar brings on an exciting clash on Thursday, 26th December, as Liverpool is gearing up to host newly promoted side Leicester City at Anfield in the English Premier League. Both teams are coming into this fixture with contrasting fortunes. Liverpool has lost only one of their last 26 home games against the Foxes at Anfield. However, Leicester has shown resilience in recent matches, and they will be looking to cause an upset to the Liverpool team under their new head coach, Raud Van Nisterlrooy. The match promises to be an intriguing battle between the two sides that have different aims and goals this season.

Liverpool is almost at full strength, with only Ibrahim Konate and Conor Bradley who will be benched because of long-term injury both picked in their Champions League against Real Madrid at Anfield. On the other hand, Leicester City’s form this season has been a little bit concerning. The 2015/16 English Premier League champions have not won or managed to pick up a draw in their last three away games. Their recent performance has seen them move to the 17th position on the league log with 14 points after 17 matches played.

– Mohammed Salah: The Egyptian has been in sensational form this season in the Premier League, being a headache for defenders because of his pace, dribbling, and clinical finishing. Leicester’s backline must be ready to contain the Egyptian

– Alison: Alison  of Liverpool is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. He was not available for the England-based club for a while due to injury. The Brazilian goalkeeper is back in between the sticks, and  strikers should be ready to face the goalkeeper.

–  Vardy: Leicester City’s legend has not been all that good for the Foxes this season but can be dangerous on any day.

Per recent results produced from both teams, with Liverpool winning 6-3 against one of the best teams in the English Premier League, Tottenham and Leicester City were seen losing to Wolves. The Reds are the favorites to win this game, Liverpool scoring over 2.5 goals and even to the extent of wining the game can be possibel.
