Election 2024: Bawumia begins nationwide political campaign on Monday April 29, 2024
Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, is poised to launch his political campaign this Monday, April 29, 2024 gearing up for the forthcoming December general elections.
The campaign will initially focus on the Eastern Region, extending to all sixteen regions of Ghana over the following month.
The campaign’s commencement was announced in a press release signed by the Director of Communications for the Bawumia for President 2024 Campaign, Dennis Miracles Aboagye.
The statement outlined an extensive itinerary for Dr. Bawumia, emphasizing that he plans to engage with a diverse array of stakeholders.
These include traditional leaders, clergy, youth, traders, drivers, farmers, and students. Dr. Bawumia also intends to visit various businesses and marketplaces to interact directly with both traders and consumers.
The statement highlighted the campaign’s commitment to an issues-based approach, focusing on practical solutions tailored to the specific needs and challenges faced by Ghanaians.
“Dr. Bawumia and his campaign team are promising an issue-based campaign, one that will focus on cogent, practical, and tailor-made ideas to deal with issues that are most dear to the Ghanaian people,” said Aboagye.
Dr. Bawumia’s strategy includes a series of town hall meetings and media engagements.
These interactions aim to facilitate a direct dialogue with the citizenry, ensuring that the campaign remains grounded in the everyday realities and aspirations of the people.
The press release also took a moment to reflect on Dr. Bawumia’s tenure as Vice President, portraying him as a dynamic and proactive leader who has consistently demonstrated integrity, discipline, and a solution-oriented approach.
“It is without doubt that Dr. Bawumia has proven to be solutions-oriented and remains committed to finding more solutions to Ghana’s challenges if given the nod as President in the December 2024 elections,” the statement read.
