E-levy bill to be re-considered later in February after withdrawal by Finance Minister.
The E-levy bill which has stirred up several emotions and ploys throughout the country, Ghana, is to be re-considered later in the month of February after the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta, withdrew it from parliament during the business statement presentation at parliament.
The Majority has labeled it as tricky and wish to reschedule it for discussion and consideration in their fourth meeting; the business committee made clear.
The Finance Minster officially withdrew the E-levy bill which is to be re-introduced on February 15,2022 for more discussions and deliberations over the issue.
With this development, the minority chief Whip, Mohammed Muntaka, has made claims stating that the majority in parliament are using the withdrawal as a ploy to pull one over the minority.
