Due to this, the first 8 teams after the league phase qualified automatically to the next round of the competition, with teams in the 9th to 24th positions playing knockout playoffs to see who makes it to the round of 16 the remaining teams were eliminated from the tournament.

Juventus will be welcoming PSV Eindhoven to the Allianz Stadium in Italy for the first leg of the knockout playoffs. The home side, Juventus, will be heading into this game as the favorite because of their current performance in the Italian Serie A. PSV this season has not been all that good in the Eredivisie, but they are capable of surprises on any day. Juventus can end this game winning and also score more goals.
Brest vs. PSG
Both teams from France will be locking horns tonight in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League knockout playoffs. Football fans and pundits were not expecting to see Brest in their current position in the UEFA Champions League this season, but facing PSG, who have been in some great form, will be a huge test for them. The attack of PSG will be expected to exploit the defense, especially on the flanks where PSG has some pacey wingers. This game is a straight win for PSG, with PSG winning by a 3-goal margin.
