Agenda 111 to boost employment with 67,000 new jobs – Akufo-Addo
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo Danquah, has revealed that the NPP’s Agenda 111 Hospital Project will provide almost 67,000 jobs to the youth upon the project’s completion.
Elaborating on the importance of the project, President Akufo-Addo explained that each hospital completed would employ more than 100 people, marking the Agenda 111 as a transformative initiative.

While commissioning the Adansi North Hospital in Fomena, Ashanti Region, President Akufo-Addo confirmed the government’s commitment to completing the hospitals.
“There’s an average number of 120 workers on each construction site, and when completed, an average of 559 persons will be employed in a district hospital, 1,343 in the regional hospital, and 947 in each psychiatric hospital. This means that 67, 635 people will be employed in the Agenda 111 Hospitals,” President Akufo-Addo assured.

The Agenda 111 is a flagship initiative of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government under the leadership of His Excellency Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo. The project’s goal is to enhance healthcare accessibility across Ghana.
Meanwhile, the Fomena Hospital Project commissioned in Adansi North District of the Ashanti Region by the President of Ghana had 120 beds. The completion of the project marks the end of a prolonged delay in its completion.
The Fomena Hospital project, which was initiated in 2014, faced multiple postponements due to financing issues, leading to concerns from residents of the Adansi Traditional Area who urged authorities to ensure its completion.

At the inauguration ceremony on Wednesday, President Akufo-Addo emphasised that the completion of the hospital was a testament to the government’s commitment to providing modern health facilities in accordance with current healthcare standards nationwide.
