Headmistress dies while attending formal duty in Rome

The headmistress of Aburi Girls Senior High School has passed on during her official visit to Rome, Italy.
Madam Cynthia Anim, whose unexpected death has caused the entire school community grieving went to participate in an Educational workshop in Rome.

In a formal statement, school’s Board Chair, Rev. E.A. Asiedu, Mrs. Anim had traveled to Italy with the Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum and other senior high school heads, and selected students when the sad event occurred.

“The sad event occurred in Rome where she in the company of the Deputy Minister of Education and other Heads of SHS are attending a workshop with some selected students.”

Rev. E.A. Asiedu stated, “I wish to officially inform honorable members with the sure hope of the Resurrection that our Headmistress Mrs. Cynthia Anim has called onto Eternity.”

He also added that an emergency Board meeting is set for Monday, September 30, 2024, at 10 a.m. in the school’s boardroom to further discuss the matter.
“In relation to this you are warmly invited to an Emergency Board meeting scheduled on Monday morning 30th September at the Board room of the school.”

On behalf of the Board, Rev. Asiedu then extended their heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and the entire school community and urged them to stand strong in this sad moment.

“We extend our heartfelt condolences to her family and the entire Aburi Girls Senior High School community.”

The need for the meeting is to discuss arrangements and the way forward following Mrs. Anim’s passing, ensuring that her legacy continues to inspire the school’s mission.
