Kwesi Arhin Retained as Anyaa-Sowutuom NDC Constituency Chairman, Calls for Peace and Unity

Kwesi Arhin has been retained as the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Constituency Chairman for Anyaa-Sowutuom, renewing his mandate to lead the party at the constituency level and setting the tone for a new chapter centered on peace, reconciliation, and unity.

Following his successful re-election in the constituency’s internal elections, Chairman Kwesi Arhin Jr. has expressed profound gratitude to delegates, branch executives, constituency executives, party faithful, and all supporters who contributed to his victory, describing their renewed confidence in his leadership as a responsibility he does not take for granted.

In a message of gratitude and reconciliation, the retained chairman pledged to serve with humility, dedication, and a renewed sense of responsibility, while urging party members to move beyond the contest and unite behind the broader interests of the NDC and the Anyaa-Sowutuom Constituency.

He extended an olive branch to his opponents and their supporters, emphasising that the conclusion of the election must mark the beginning of renewed cooperation rather than prolonged rivalry.

According to Chairman Kwesi Arhin, the party’s collective responsibility to its members and the constituency remains far more important than individual ambitions or differences arising from the electoral contest.

“The contest is over, but our shared responsibility to the NDC and Anyaa-Sowutuom continues,” he stressed, calling on all sides to put disagreements behind them, embrace reconciliation, and work together without bitterness or resentment.

Victory for the Entire Constituency

Chairman Kwesi Arhin underscored that his renewed mandate should not be interpreted as a victory for one faction over another but as an opportunity to consolidate the party’s internal cohesion and strengthen its organisational structures.

He maintained that every member of the constituency, irrespective of the candidate they supported during the election, remains an important stakeholder in the party’s future.

The chairman pledged to build bridges across the various factions, listen to differing opinions, and promote an inclusive leadership approach in which every member feels recognised, respected, and valued.

He further cautioned against allowing personal disagreements and political rivalry to undermine the unity required to advance the party’s collective objectives.

“No position is worth dividing our party, and no personal differences should stand in the way of our collective progress,” he emphasised, reinforcing his appeal for mutual respect, trust, and cooperation among party members.

Reconciliation Takes Centre Stage

With the internal elections concluded, Chairman Kwesi Arhin said the immediate priority must be rebuilding relationships, restoring confidence, and strengthening bonds among members who may have found themselves on opposing sides during the campaign.

He called for a decisive shift from rivalry to cooperation, suspicion to trust, and division to solidarity, stressing that the party’s future success depends on the willingness of its members to work together.

He also acknowledged that the task ahead cannot be accomplished through the efforts of one individual or faction alone, insisting that the constituency needs the collective commitment, talents, and contributions of all its members.

“The time for campaigning is over; the time for rebuilding relationships, strengthening our unity, and working together has begun,” he declared.

A Renewed Mandate and a Shared Responsibility

Chairman Kwesi Arhin’s message places unity and inclusive leadership at the centre of his renewed mandate, with an emphasis on strengthening the party’s internal organisation and promoting a common vision for Anyaa-Sowutuom.

His appeal also signals the importance of maintaining constructive relationships across the constituency’s party structures, ensuring that political differences do not obstruct grassroots mobilisation, effective organisation and engagement with the concerns of constituents.

For the retained chairman, the challenge ahead is not simply to consolidate the outcome of the election but to translate the renewed confidence of delegates into a cohesive and forward-looking constituency leadership.

He called on party members to approach the next phase with a shared sense of purpose, reminding them that the NDC’s broader objectives require unity of action, mutual understanding, and a willingness to place collective interests above personal differences.

Concluding his message, Chairman Kwesi Arhin invoked God’s blessings on the NDC family in Anyaa-Sowutuom and expressed confidence that a united party, guided by peace and a common purpose, could build a stronger constituency and work towards the progress its members and supporters desire.

His message ended with a rallying call that captures the spirit of his renewed mandate:

“One Constituency. One Party. One Family. One Common Goal.”

As the Anyaa-Sowutuom NDC turns the page on its internal electoral contest, Chairman Kwesi Arhin’s appeal for reconciliation presents an opportunity for party members to close ranks, rebuild trust, and channel their collective energies towards the work ahead.
