Court sentences robber to two years imprisonment

Stephen Nkorkorbio was given two years of hard labor in prison by the Ashaiman Circuit court for planning to commit a crime and having a tool for illegal entry.

Based on Nkorkorbio’s own plea of guilty, the court, which was led by Mr. Simon Gaga, gave him a sentence. On count one, he will get two years in prison, and on count two, he will get six months. These sentences will run together.

Chief Inspector Samuel Aperweh said that on August 3, 2022, at about 1400 hours, the Ashaiman District Command knew that the accused, Nkorkorbio, was 27 years old and lived in Zenu, a suburb of Ashaiman.

The accused was arrested at Old Tulaku and brought to the Ashaiman Police Station after it was found out that he was planning to rob someone.

Chief Inspector said that the suspect, who had a small green bag, threw it away and ran away when he saw the police. However, he was caught, and the bag was found.

The prosecution said that the police searched the bag in front of witnesses and found a plier, two pairs of scissors, an alien key, and a fake black pistol.

The accused was charged with the crime and brought before the court after an investigation.
